1. Download the ooVoo software to your computer. 

• Select the download appropriate for your computer. The download time will depend on the speed of your Internet connection. ooVoo can be used on a wired or wireless home network, although a wired network is usually faster and will produce better results.

2. Install the ooVoo software. 

• On a Windows PC, click "run" in the dialog box that opens when the download is complete. On a Mac, double-click on the .dmg file in your download folder; once the .dmg loads, double-click the install icon and follow the on-screen instructions.

3. Login or Create a new ID.

• Obtain an ooVoo login. Double-click on the ooVoo icon in the Windows Start menu or the Applications folder on a Mac. You will be prompted to log in or create a new login.
• Log in to your ooVoo account and you are ready to go! You can add friends who are on ooVoo by looking them up by login name or email address. Once set up, you can use video chat, text chat, send video messages and join larger video conferences.
• Take some time to explore ooVoo. The screen-sharing features allows your chat partners to see either your whole screen or just the area around your mouse, which is a great way to show an IT support tech what's going wrong with your computer. You can also play with fun video effects that allow you to manipulate the way your video appears to others.
