Microsoft released the new beta version of Windows 8 eight which is free to download and easy to use. This version is a better choice if you have already ignore the previous version of windows 8 which was made available for developers.
Most importantly, this current release is feature completed. So you can have full view of what a windows 8 is all about.
to download windows 8 copy you have use 2 different ways. First one is the Direct download of setup file of windows into your computer and later install it as a conventional operating system. second one is to download it as an ISO file and burn it onto a disk and later install it conventionally.
As usual, you can install it stand alone, overwrite your current windows 7/xp/vista, or install it side-by-side. A side by side install is installing an operating system within a operating system. Basically it is a dual OS mode but quite different in conventional fashion.
From my experience, I would suggest you to download an ISO file for the fresh installation.

If You Upgrade Current Windows :
If you are running windows 7 currently, then all your programs are safe i.e. all those applciation softwares will be there into your new windows 8 installation as they are now into your windows 7 version. But if you are running XP or Vista, then I am sorry, you will not be able to access all your application softwares into your WIN-8 mode.
If you are thinking of installing windows 8 just to get the experience, then best way to go is installing it as a virtual machine. A virtual machine installation needs, blank disk partition.
