Free Auto Response Service From GMaiil

As usual gmail has a built in auto response service/function for its user and that also absolutely free. A user can create its own message and save it in a form of so called 'canned' message and also set a filter which guides gmail to send an auto-reply/response whenever you get an email message into your inbox that passes the conditions set into that filter.

Steps you can set up Auto-response into your Gmail Account.
  1. Login to your gmail account.
  2. Goto Settings Page by clicking a gear icon in the up-right corner of your gmail account.
  3. Choose Lab tab.
  4. Here you see a list of all Labs available/combined into gmail service. You just scroll down and find 'CANNED RESPONSE" Lab and enable it. Don't forget to save the changes before leaving this page.
  5. Come back to your compose email section. Compose your Auto response message. Leave the 'To' field blank and write appropriate subject in the subject line of your message.
  6. You will see a Link Button 'Canned Response' and an arrow attached to it just under the subject line. Hit the arrow button and it gives you three different options of saving, deleting and inserting a canned message. As you have just wrote the message first time, just press 'New canned response...' and save option.
  7. Now you have created your first canned message. Nest step it to mention a filter. Go back to Settings > Filters tab and choose 'create a new filter..'
  8. Write down your filter conditions like what would be the email address of the sender, what would be the essential words into the message of a sender, what would be the subject line etc.
  9. At the end page of creating this filter you will be asked what to do when all the conditions are matched for a message. just mention 'Send Him a Canned Response' and select the canned meesage title you just created in the above step.
That's It.
