Today Operating Systems are being developed way faster that ever before. Multiple companies are in the market and Microsoft is not the only choice, though it has the largest market share. Even Microsoft is developing and launching its new operating systems in quick succession.
Often we dont feel comfortable to leave our present operating system and want to know the pro and con of the new OS before adopting it permanently. We choose articles and review online, talk to our friends and other about it. And sometimes uses the new operating system on others PC to know basics and pro and cons of this new product.
But Oracle has developed a small software program that gives you the power to install multiple OSs on your own PC in a virtual format, that why oracle has named it Virtual Box. Most importantly the Virtual is quite free to download, install and use.
You can install as many OSs onto your current OS, without changing any setting or needing frustrating multiple boot option list at the start-up.
Download and Install Virtual Box : (Step by step)
- Go to Virtual Box Website
- Download the right .exe file according to yout current operating system. Most often you are supposed to have windows as your host OS at 32-bit. If you are not sure about your current OS and bit-level, you can easily check it in the My Computer > Properties.
- After downloading the Virtual box file, double click it to run and install it by following easy to understand on-screen instructions during installation process.
- Now your PC is ready to have multiple OS at the same time (simultaneously).
